Cannabalm with Emu Oil by THChristi

I made this recipe about a month and a half ago and offered it for my patients then. The positive feedback has been so overwhelming!  Patients are finding relief from everything from psoriasis to broken ankle pain with this formulation. Cannabis never fails to amaze me with its healing   potential!  The addition of the Emu oil adds to the healing benefit and absorption. Amazing!

You are going to be shocked at how easy this balm is to make!

Simply melt together 1 ounce of Emu oil, 1 ounce of beeswax and 4 ounces of cannabis coconut oil in a large heavy pot. When all your ingredients have melted together give a good stirring and pour the hot liquid into a clean jar or tin.

Leave uncovered until your balm hardens up.

Once the balm has cooled to a hardened consistancy cover with the lid.

Thats It!  Like I said this is so easy but so effective!

I've intentionally left this unscented. If you wanted a scented version you could easily add some essential oil in the liquid phase. Just a couple drops would be sufficient.

Enjoy!

  3. Wow this sound very interesting... Have you ever tried using magnesium as a carrier oil makes the oil much more potent is what I have heard just hadn't tried it yet?

  4. @THChristi , do you know whether or not this recipe is psychoactive (or the topical application of this particular balm causes a person to become euphoric/stoned)?

The cannabis coconut oil my wife and I make is heated and activated. When ingested, it is psychoactive. Essentially, I'd like to hear from you about whether or not the topical application of heated and activated cannabis coconut oil is psychoactive.

Thanks so much for all of your continued support!

  5. Only if you eat it . Used topically it will do all kinds of wonderful things but will not make you high

    1. Wouldn't it have to be decarboxylated first, to get the euphoric feeling?

    3. That is a great question! Even if decarbocylated this balm is not going to make you high or give a euphoric feeling. It's used topically to treat pain, hairloss, inflammation, injury, skin issue etc. Cannabis in all forms is an anti inflammatory and analgesic! If you are looking for the euphoric effect, go check out one of my edible recipes on this blog.

  6. Hi Christi, Does this version with the emu oil work in the deodarant roll up containers? Or would a tin type container work best?

    1. you could increase the amount of beeswax to use this in a deodorant container. otherwise, it is best in a tin or a jar
