This recipe has become a favorite at our house. A nice mild medicators to start the day. Did I mention it's delicious?
What you will need:
3 Cups of Snoqualmie Lodge Oats (or other high end old fashioned oats)
1 Cup Pecans chopped and toasted
2 teaspoons Cinnamon
1/2 Cup no sugar added applesauce
1/4 Cup potent Cannabutter melted
1/4 Cup all natural organic maple syrup (please do not substitute that garbage they call maple flavored syrup. Get the good stuff!)
1 teaspoon real vanilla
1 Cup chopped dried apples (reserve these for after the granola has cooked)
***For my granola I make my own applesauce and dried apples but you can use store bought. Look for organic, high quality ingredients to make this a real food!
How to do it:
Preheat your oven to 275* F
Mix together dry ingredients in a large bowl. In a second small bowl mix together the wet ingredients. Add the wet ingredients to the dry. Put on your food handling gloves and using your hands mix, knead together your mixture until fully combined.
Pour out onto a sheet pan with sides. Press the mixture down into the pan.
Place pan in preheated oven. In 20 minute intervals stir your granola. Bake for 1 hour until your granola is golden brown. Remove from the oven and allow to cool. Mix in your dried apples.
Viola!
To store:
Store cooled granola in a airtight container. Will keep for several weeks.
Variations:
Drizzle medicated caramel on this for a caramel apple granola. Yum!
Change the apples for another dried fruit of your choosing. Dried mangos are awesome I this!
Add yogurt covered raisins for a little sweeter version.
Options are only limited by your own imagination!
Hope you enjoy!
